What Frontgap does, what a credit buys, and what each of us is responsible for. Written to be read rather than skipped.

What Frontgap is

Frontgap scans an area for local businesses, grades how badly each one’s web presence is failing, ranks them by how much they look like somebody worth contacting, and drafts a first message you can send.

It is a research and drafting tool. It does not contact anybody on your behalf. Every message it writes is shown to you to edit and copy, and sending it is an action you take yourself in your own email, phone or messaging app.

Your account

You need an account to scan, and everything you create belongs to an organisation rather than to you personally, so a team can share it.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it.

One free trial per person. Creating extra accounts to collect the trial allowance repeatedly is not something we will keep serving.

Credits, and what they cost

Scanning is free and, on a paid plan, unlimited. What a credit buys is identity: one credit reveals a business’s name, address, phone and whatever contact details its listing carries.

Drafting a message costs one credit per business per channel, charged the first time. Rewriting that message is free and unlimited — you are not charged per attempt, because charging per attempt would push you to send the first thing you got.

A scan shows you the score, the trade, the area, the presence grade and the reason for it before you spend anything. The name is what a credit unlocks.

The free trial grants four credits once — two businesses revealed and written to. It is not a monthly allowance.

Plans, payment and expiry

Paid plans grant credits every billing cycle at the figures shown on the pricing page. A yearly plan is charged once at ten months’ price and still receives its credits monthly.

Payments are handled by Bachs. We never see or store your card details.

Plan credits roll over for one period and then expire. Credits bought as a top-up do not expire, because you paid for them separately.

Cancelling stops future billing. It does not refund the current period, and it does not take away leads you have already revealed — those stay yours, with your notes on them, whether or not you have a plan.

Where the data comes from, and its limits

Business listings come from public mapping data. Presence grades are our own assessment, made by reading the listing and, where there is a website, fetching its home page.

That means two honest caveats. A listing can be out of date — a business may have a website the underlying data has not recorded yet. And a grade is a judgement, not a fact: a site we call weak may be perfectly fine for its owner.

We do not promise that any lead will reply, convert, or be worth contacting. What we promise is that the score and the reason behind it are computed from real signals and shown to you before you spend a credit.

How you use what you find

Cold outreach is regulated, and the rules depend on where you and the recipient are. Consent requirements, unsubscribe obligations and restrictions on automated messaging are your responsibility, not ours.

You agree not to use Frontgap to send anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing, and not to use it to build a list you then resell as though it were your own research.

The drafting tool is instructed never to invent facts about a business, and never to claim things it cannot see. If you edit a message to add a claim, that claim is yours.

Availability, and changes

Frontgap is a working product under active development. Some features are marked on the pricing page as not yet shipped, and those labels are accurate — we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

We may change how the product works, and we may change these terms. If a change materially affects what you are paying for, we will say so rather than let you discover it.

We can suspend an account that is being used to break these terms.

Liability

Frontgap is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for business you did not win, messages that went unanswered, or decisions you made from a score.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
